What Can Be Served With Air Fryer Pineapple?
You can serve air fryer pineapple with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping to make them a mouth-watering dessert. Also, frozen yogurt would taste great too if you’re diet conscious.
And I would recommend saving some melted butter and brown sugar sauce to top it on the vanilla ice cream. Believe me, that tastes like heaven!
The grilled pineapple doesn’t need anything else to serve, as it is a great side dish to meat and chicken dishes.
However, here are some variations that you can try:
- Dips- Air fryer pineapple can be served with sweetened fruit dip or Greek yogurt and If you have made spicy pineapple then it can be good to serve with sour cream.
- Using Melted Butter- If you brush the pineapple with melted butter, then it would be perfectly brown and nutty from the edges.
How Can You Store And Reheat The Air fryer Pineapple?
If you want to store the leftover pineapple, place them in an airtight container, and then you’re good to keep it in the fridge for 4-5 days.
Someday I prep the pineapple and put it in the fridge for the times when the cravings struck and have it at any time I want.
Also, you can reheat the pineapple in the microwave or the air fryer as per your desire.
How To Choose A Good Pineapple?
Always choose a pineapple with bright green leaves. The pineapples that you usually see at the store are raw, so make sure the outer skin of the pineapple is firm and shouldn’t yield when pressed.
If you ask my personal experience, then I always choose ripe pineapples because it contains natural sweetness and doesn’t need much sugar.
To ripe a pineapple, leave it in the fruit basket for a few days, when its skin turns orange, and you can feel the sweet smell from it then it means the pineapple is ripped.
Is Pineapple Good For Health?
Yes, pineapple is good for health because this tropical fruit has a profile of impressive nutrients.
Pineapple has a significant amount of Vitamin C and Manganese, and it is low in calories also.
Pineapple also contains digestive enzymes to break down protein as it is full of antioxidants, which makes pineapple one of the best fruit to eat after a heavy protein meal.
Why Does Pineapple Sting My Mouth?
The enzymes in the pineapple, together with the acid in the pineapple, might cause your mouth to sting.
The acidity of the pineapple is particularly uncomfortable because bromelain destroys the protecting mucus that coats your tongue and the roof of your mouth. The stinging sensation is amplified by the combination of bromelain and acid.
Cooking the pineapple removes the majority of the enzymes that produce the sting, making it a terrific way to enjoy pineapple if it normally bothers you.
What Should Serve With This Pineapple?
This is a delectable delicacy on its own or served alongside steak in a Brazilian steakhouse. Serve this warm pineapple over a bowl of vanilla ice cream for dessert.
This pineapple is air fried for 10 minutes after being coated with cinnamon and brown sugar. The goodies remind me of the pineapple from my favorite Brazilian steakhouse!
