Regular or full beef is what I prefer.
Cresent Roll DoughThis dish is ridiculously easy because of the use of canned crescent roll dough, as I described above.
The dough is already divided into sections that are ideal for wrapping your hot dogs, so you don’t even need to cut it!
You can always choose to prepare your dough if you like a homemade flavor.

How to Make Pigs in a Blanket in an Air Fryer?

  • Start by bringing your Air Fryer’s temperature up to 350F for three minutes, or as directed by the manufacturer. 
  • Roll out the crescent dough gently on a piece of parchment paper or a clean surface after opening the can. 
  • Gently separate each triangle, then arrange them on the parchment paper. 
  • Put a hot dog on one of the triangles of crescent-shaped dough.
  • Wrap the dough around the hot dog until it completely encircles it and covers the majority of its surface. You should leave each end open and dough-free. 
  • Continue until all eight of your hot dogs are wrapped. Place them on a dish or tray with parchment paper inside. In between batches, store them in the refrigerator. 
  • Utilizing a set of tongs, move your pigs in a blanket to the air fryer. If you have an oven-style air fryer, you might be able to fit all eight.
  • Back in the oven at 350°F for 5-8 minutes, or until golden and puffy, place the air fryer basket.

You simply need to cut each crescent roll in half lengthwise as you unroll the dough. You will have enough dough left over to make 16 smoked sausages with this. 

Once each sausage has been rolled, the next step is to cover the air fryer basket with a little olive oil cooking spray before adding the pigs to a blanket.

I like to apply another layer of cooking spray to the top. After finishing, secure the air fryer’s lid and cook for 5-8 minutes at 390 degrees.

Because every air fryer heats up differently, check on them after five minutes. I discovered that whereas the first batch I cooked took 8 minutes without preheating the air fryer, the second batch only took around 5 minutes.
