In this recipe of air fryer green beans, only basic ingredients are used such as

  • Fresh green beans
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Notes :

  • There are two types of beans available at the grocery store – green beans and french green beans which are also called Haricot verts, french green beans are thinner and longer than standard green beans. So, if you’re using french green beans, reduce the cooking time which means air fry them for 5-6 minutes rather than 10-12 minutes.
  • You can change this dish as per your taste because it is cooked with very basic ingredients which gives you a chance to play with ingredients and make your recipe by using chili flakes, garlic powder, and red chili powder for some kick. You can also use parmesan cheese on top to have that melty flavor.
  • I am using olive oil in air fryer green beans but you can use any other oil also but to give it an Asian flavor, use sesame oil.


  • Step 1- Preheat the air fryer to 375° F (190°C) degrees.
  • Step 2- Put the green beans in a bowl and wash them under cold running water then line them in a sheet pan and dry them as much as you can with a kitchen towel or let them dry on their own if you have time.
  • Step 3- Now, trim the green beans by removing their tough stringy tails. You can also line 5-7 green beams to cut their stem in a single cut to save your time. It depends on you to cut them in half or leave them whole.
  • Step 4- You can also use parchment paper to dry the green beans then transfer them to a large bowl.
  • Step 5- Now spray some olive oil and sprinkle salt and pepper in the green beans then toss them gently to make sure the green beans are coated with salt and pepper.
  • Step 6- Now place the green beans in the air fryer basket in a single layer, or cook them in batches, let it cook for 9-10 minutes until crispy and tender while ensuring to flip them in halfway through cooking.
  • Step 7- Once the green beans are done, take them out, serve and enjoy.
