Air Fryer Chocolate Croissant (Yummy)

The simplest air fryer dessert ever is these chocolate croissants. It is the fastest dessert ever because it just requires 10 minutes overall and 5 minutes inside the machine.

These chocolate croissants have a chocolate Nutella filling inside and are melt-in-your-mouth soft with crispy edges. Divine! Air Fryer Chocolate Croissants are one of my favorite Air Fryer desserts. To make this handmade delicacy, only a few ingredients are required.

So, the next time you’re looking for a delicious and simple breakfast or dessert meal, try making these Chocolate Crescent Rolls, which only require 3 ingredients.

Ingredients You Need For This Recipe

This recipe is really easy to make. Even though there are only 3 essential ingredients, the additional ingredients make the dish look nicer and taste better. So feel free to utilize either 3 or all of them.

The fact that you already have all the ingredients in your kitchen is the best part. The crescent rolls that are ready to bake are the only component that needs planning.

Since it is very convenient to use in many recipes that are suitable for families, I frequently keep it on hand in my refrigerator.

Crescent RollsAny brand of crescent rolls that are “ready to bake” can be purchased in the market. Make your crescent roll dough if you have a recipe for homemade dough; otherwise, buy one. If crescent roll dough is not available, make chocolate bombs using ready-to-bake biscuits.
Nutella or Hazelnut SpreadAlthough using it is not required, I do so to give the rolls a little more flavor. Additionally, it works well as an adhesive to keep the chocolate chunks in place. Additionally, I covered the tops of the crescent rolls in Nutella.
Mini Chocolate ChipI often use micro milk chocolate chips that are semisweet. You might also use dark chocolate. I would advise using minis because they are lightweight and simple to roll. You can use a chocolate bar if you finely cut it first.
ButterAlthough it is not a necessary ingredient in the recipe, when rolls are glazed with it, it adds a nice shine to the top.

How to Make Air Fryer Chocolate Croissants?

Here’re a few simple steps that you need to do to make an air fryer chocolate croissant:

Prep the Chocolate Crescent Roll for Air Frying

Crack open the Crescent Rolls can. And lay out the crescent roll sheet on your kitchen work surface. With a kitchen knife or scissors, cut the triangles out along the perforated line. On a plate or piece of parchment paper, arrange them separately.

Spread out 1 triangle on the kitchen board at this point. With a butter knife, spread 1 tsp of Nutella onto the triangle, leaving the edges unadorned. Add 1/2 Tsp of small chocolate chips to the triangle’s broader side.

Now begin rolling tightly into a croissant from the wider side. It should be set aside on parchment paper. Similarly, finish the remaining 7 croissants. Eight chocolate croissants are now prepared for air frying.

Air Frying Chocolate Croissant

In the interim, preheat the air fryer for 2 to 3 minutes at 325°F. Put the parchment paper for the air fryer on the basket now.

4-5 croissants should be placed at once. Melted butter should be delicately brushed on top of them. For four minutes, air fried at 325°F.

Now take off the parchment paper and air fried the food for an additional 1-2 minutes to properly cook the bottom. Take these out and let them cool for a few seconds on a cooling rack before garnishing.

Garnishing the Croissant

Now place a tiny zip-lock bag with 1-2 tbsp of Nutella inside. A knot or rubber band tied at the top will create a cone by pushing it toward one corner.

Kitchen scissors should be used to cut a narrow opening in the cone’s mouth. Alternatively, if you have a piping bag, use that.

Now spread the Nutella in the desired pattern over the top of the chocolate croissant. and sprinkle almond slices with rough chops on top.

Can You Freeze Chocolate Croissants?

Since you can freeze them, this is a great recipe for making ahead and taking camping for a speedy and delectable dessert, snack, or breakfast.

  • To Freeze: Place on a baking sheet lined with paper, allow to cool to room temperature, and then place in the freezer. Freeze the croissants until they are completely frozen. They should be taken out of the freezer and put into a freezer bag or an airtight container.
  • To Reheat from Frozen: Place the frozen items in the air fryer basket and heat on the air fryer setting for 5 to 7 minutes at 370 degrees F.

How to Make Croissant Dough At Home?

Make the Dough

Warm milk, brown sugar, and yeast are combined in a standing mixer bowl. The mixture should stand for about five minutes until foamy.

Mix with a dough hook on low speed, adding 3 3/4 cups flour and salt, for about 7 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and extremely soft. To form a soft, slightly sticky dough, transfer the dough to a work surface and knead it by hand for 2 minutes, adding extra flour as needed, a little at a time.

Form the dough into a rectangle that is about 1 1/2 inches thick, then chill it for about an hour, wrapped in plastic.

Prepare and Shape Butter

Place butter sticks horizontally, with their sides touching on the work surface after the dough has chilled. Use a rolling pin to lightly soften the butter (butter should be malleable but still cold).

Butter should be rubbed into a block, placed on a kitchen towel, and covered with a second towel.

Roll out and pound the butter until it is a consistent 8 by 5-inch rectangle.

Roll Out Dough

Unwrap the dough and roll it into a 16 by 10-inch rectangle on a lightly floured board, lifting and stretching the dough as needed (particularly in the corners).

Place the short side of the dough closest to you. Place the butter in the middle of the dough with its long sides parallel to its short sides.

Fold the dough as you would a letter: place the bottom layer over the butter, then the top third over the dough. Make use of a pastry brush to remove extra flour.

Make the Remaining Folds

For a total of 4 folds, perform the same 3 additional folds and chill the dough for 1 hour between each fold. Add flour if any butter leaks out when rolling to prevent sticking.

Wrap the dough tightly in plastic wrap and chill for no more than eight hours.

  • Additionally, you could bake this dish. Simply follow the preparation instructions. The crescent rolls should then be baked in the oven as directed on the back of the package.
  • For up to a week in the refrigerator, croissants will keep best packed in individual food storage bags. To reheat, microwave for 10 to 15 seconds. For up to two days, they maintain their quality at room temperature.
